Condensing Boilers - Whitewater Energy

Although condensing boilers are not a 'renewable' technology as such, upgrading your boiler is a cost effective way to dramatically improve fuel efficiency in the home. Boilers account for around 60% of the carbon dioxide emissions in the average home and the efficiency of your boiler can have a significant impact on running costs and your carbon footprint. You may be surprised at just how inefficient your boiler can be.

Older boilers can be as little as 60% efficient meaning that 40% of the heat generated by the boiler is lost, mainly in the form of flue gases. A modern condensing boiler captures much more useable heat from it’s fuel than a non-condensing model by recovering the waste heat from the flue system and passing it through a second heat exchanger. The result is a boiler that can be as much as 91% efficient.

Replacing an old boiler with an ‘A rated’ condensing model and new heating controls can save up to a quarter on your heating bills straight away and up to 1300kg of CO2 per year.

Condensing boilers can be easily fitted to most old and new heating systems. We would be delighted to assess your home and advise on the best system to meet your needs.
